Louise Kennedy Belgravia
Our London store is in the heart of Belgravia. I feel very at home in London, and I’m very happy to take my cue from the glamorous women who live in my area.
The (very welcome) French invasion of this part of London means there’s a piece of Paris right on our doorstep – Pierre Herme, purveyor of Parisian macarons, Christian Louboutin for divine shoes and Eres, for the most flattering swimwear. Yotam Ottolenghi’s marvellous deli means delicious salads are also just a few minutes away.
Neill Strain, the Irish couture florist, whose store is two doors away, dresses our store weekly and has become a wonderful friend. Anton Mossiman welcomed me to the street in 2000 with a lifetime membership at Mosimann’s.
The Blue Bar at The Berkeley is one of my favourite places to meet for a drink and a gossip with a friend. The Rosewood Hotel is a favoured haunt – I love how it is both extremely sophisticated and yet relaxed.
My morning ritual is to pop into Ennismore Gardens and enjoy my first coffee of the day from Carpo on Montpellier Street. Lucio’s is a terrific, family-run Italian on the Fulham Road. I always spot interesting well-known faces there and the atmosphere is typically Italian – buzzy, lively and fun. Diners chat to other diners, and well-mannered dogs are very welcome.
